Wednesday, 3 May 1797 Watkin Jones, Butter merchant in the parish of Devynock on 25 February 1797 made and forged a promissory note on the Brecon Bank for £30 (altering it from £10) bearing the date 20 November 1796 and passed it with intent to defraud (WALES 4/390/1). His execution was ordered for Wednesday 3 May (WALES 14/28)
